SW Florida Fisheries Regulations and Management Workshop

On Wednesday, Florida Sea Grant in conjunction with Florida Fish and Wildlife hosted their yearly fisheries management meeting. Was great information on how they determine fishing regulations, openings, closings and quantities. The snook population has rebounded nicely after the big freeze two years ago. It is anticipated that anglers will be able to keep snook again soon. They want to wait until after winter to evaluate just to make sure we don’t have a serious cold snap again this year. Was a great workshop.
